Quantum Computing

Overview

Researchers are currently on the threshold of being able to overcome the inherent fragility of quantum computation. At the same time, advances in quantum circuitry and algorithms are being proposed. Our Quantum Computing MS aligns closely with the strategic goals of the National Quantum Initiative Act:  (a) to expand the number of researchers, educators and students; b) to promote the development of multidisciplinary curricula and research opportunities; c) to address basic research gaps; d) to promote further development of facilities; and e) to stimulate research in quantum based technologies. We are partnering with industrial firms and institutes to ensure that our graduates have the required foundation for employment or further education in this rapidly advancing field.  The degree is designed for students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in Physics or a closely related discipline and have a basic understanding of quantum mechanics.
